You...Ok, I had to think about this for a long time. You actually made my brain hurt this morning. I, too, initially thought that John and Mary must have perished in a tornado or a hurricane. And, indeed their untimely deaths were related to wind, but not necessarily a tornado or a hurricane.

Where we run into trouble is in allowing our brains to automatically assume that John and Mary are human beings. I mean, I have two dogs named Bandit and Nutch, but they could just as easily have been named John and Mary (if one was a girl). So the question must be, what creature dies when the glass breaks?

My hypothesis is that John and Mary are fish. Some kind of wind, anything from a sudden gust to a severe storm, either knocked their fish bowl over or broke the glass on their aquarium. Spilling out into the harsh and cruel world of air, John and Mary never had a chance.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.Dr. Mike Kearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09084390874645801690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14940570.post-1153792683189274752006-07-24T19:58:00.000-06:002006-07-24T19:58:00.000-06:00nonoLesleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04949872709953861128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14940570.post-1153789153753017392006-07-24T18:59:00.000-06:002006-07-24T18:59:00.000-06:00Well, the obvious answer to me is "Were they in a ...Well, the obvious answer to me is "Were they in a tornado?"

-HeyJuleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11440239922316626725noreply@blogger.com
