Scrambled Eggs

Peanut has decided that her new favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs. This is probably because I actually let her cook them. She's so funny! She cracks the eggs without getting them over EVERYTHING somehow. Then she stirs them up. I tried to show her to wisk them, but you know 5 year olds. But I wisk them real good before putting them in the skillet. Then she stirs. And stirs. And stirs. By the time she's done the eggs are in tiny little pieces but that's ok, they taste the same. Peanut is really looking forward to cooking them for her Nana when she comes over next week!

Have a sunny-side up day!

It's a smart Mom who encourages her child's interest in cooking!

I also have a five year old. She decided she wants to take her lunch instead of buying hot lunch at kindergarten. I said only if she makes it herself. She does! Every morning.

Peanut's been packing her lunch for a little over a year now. I usually buy those microwavable ravioli's, but she picks out which lunch box, she has to remember the fork and her juice. Next year we'll have to think of something different because they don't do microwable stuff in the public schools. She might learn to make her own pbjs by then!

You guys are makin me envious for my childhood...when the decisions that I made were of a much more critical nature than the decisions I am faced with now a days...

Thanks for the scrambled egg story, it puts my world in perspective...
