Oh Lucy!

My friend, J's wife, had a baby yesterday. For months now we've thought it was going to be a girl, but when Nickel called to relay the blessed event to me he informed me they had a bouncing baby boy! Later that afternoon I told Peanut that they had a boy instead of a girl like we thought they were going to have. She looked up at me and said, "Someone's got some 'splainin' to do." I chuckled at her remark and told her that its really hard to tell if they baby's going to be a boy or a girl when they're still inside the mommy but the doctor had thought it was going to be a girl. Peanut considered this for a moment then said, "So the doctor's got some 'splainin' to do."
